There were no shorts or gas and they tested as follows: Tube One: 71 69 and; Tube Two: 71 74 (Minimum (65%) is 50 50 and 100% is 77 77. They have black wing plates, beautiful flashing and round bottom mica spacers. I have played them (with adapters, not included) in my AC heated Radio Craftsmen RC 2 mono block amplifiers
